Dress For Success Fashion Show 2010

The Dress for Success Fashion Show was co-sponsored with Manhattan Colleges Center for Career Development.  The show was geared towards college students entering the workforce, providing examples of interview appropriate attire.  We would like to thank Marjorie Apel for her involvement and look forward to an even greater scale for next years show!

Community Service December 2010

The Fashion Student Association contributed to a holiday fair with a cookie decorating table.  The event was to provide children from various elementary schools in Long Island and the Bronx with a positive evening filled with holiday cheer.  Santa read stories, cookies were decorated, mittens were given and carols were sung.  It was a fantastic event to support local children in neighboring communities.

Sample Sale Spring 2010

To advance fundraising efforts for the National Alzheimer's Association FSA held a sample sale prior to the Arabian Nights fashion show.  Designers such as Kensie Denim, Forever Living Fresh, Rocksmith and others donated pieces that were sold and proceeds donated to NAA.  We look forward to making this an annual event and hope future sample sales can be as successful as the first!

Shopping Trips

The Fashion Student Association makes an effort to take an annual shopping trip.  Often it is to Woodbury Commons a premium outlet shopping center.  While the majority of the members find a common interest in shopping, the trip is an opportunity for members to bond and get to know each other outside the business world of fashion and the confines of our bi-weekly meetings.
